The Links That Earn a Commission

Most tour and ticket links here lead to a live booking page on GetYourGuide or Viator, and a booking made through one pays this site a commission. The earning is wider than tours, and saying so is the point of this page. Links to partners for hotels, hostels and apartments, car hire in the city and at the airport, airport and private transfers, bag storage, bike hire, audio tours, eSIMs, intercity buses, city passes, travel insurance, flight-delay compensation and flights all earn a commission too, routed through Travelpayouts. The price you pay never changes because of it. Booking through a link here costs exactly what booking direct costs.

What Never Earns a Cent

Not everything here is monetized, and the gaps are deliberate rather than accidental. The pay-what-you-wish walking tours on GuruWalk earn nothing: you tip the guide at the end if you want to, and nobody pays us. The Balboa Park museums that sell only at their own gates, the Fleet Science Center, the Air and Space Museum, the San Diego Museum of Art, the Museum of Us and theNAT, are linked straight to the venue with no commission attached, because there is no card to sell and we are not going to invent one. San Diego parking advice carries no link at all, since no partner sells parking here. Those plain links sit beside the affiliate ones rather than behind them.

What Money Never Decides

No operator pays to appear on this site and none can buy a higher place in a list. What gets included, and in what order, is an editorial call made before any commercial question is raised. Ratings and review counts beside each tour are the platforms' own published figures, reproduced exactly, read twice, and left blank when they could not be confirmed. Prices live on the live booking page rather than in our copy, because they move. And where a place is genuinely better bought at the gate, or walked for free, the page says that instead of routing you through something that pays.
